Organs of the union
Organises the youth of the union. It has been dormant of late. Many of the children have grown up and new kids are not coming up to join. But the children's group is still there, at least on paper, and there are plans to revive it.
This is still very active within the union. Women's Day is celebrated on the last day of September every year.
For several years, The Linguist was published as a quarterly newsletter by the union and distributed free to all members and other interested persons. It reported on the events happening in the Ghanaian community in Sweden and also on events from the motherland. With the increased availability of internet, the newsletter became less important and died a natural death. The mouthpiece of the union is now its website: ghanaunion.se. It contains news relevant to the Ghanaian community, announcements, reports on functions held by community members, photo albums, feature articles and links to other important sites.
The Ghana Union is a member of the following organisations:
1. Afrikanska Rådet i Sverige (AFRIS)
2. Centrum Mot Rasism (CMR)
3. Folkets Huset, Rinkeby
4. Eggeby Gård
