Visit to Okwabi's Grave on Alla helgöns dag, November 4th, 2017

Okwabi - two years ago

Time, as they say, flies and it is already two years since the sudden death of Emmanuel Ayah Okwabi. But he has not been forgotten. Friends and members of the Ghana Union in Stockholm were at S:t Bodvids Kyrkogård, Huddinge, on Alla helgöns dag over the weekend to light candles and put flowers on the grave of Emmanuel. On this day when many Swedes light a candle on the graves of their beloved departed, Emmanuel too was not forgotten. It was a solemn moment as the visitors gathered at the grave and took pictures. Earlier in the year, Emmanuel's family and friends from London came to town to erect a permanent stone on his grave. They were joined on that ocassion by members of the Ghana Union. Emmanuel was an active member of the Ghana Union. He had studied at Stockholm University and left for England where he took a degree in Law before coming back.
