GUSS marks Ghana's 58th In,dependence anniversary
Members of the Ghana Union in Stockholm met at Rinkeby to mark Ghana's 58th Independence anniversary. It was a very quiet affair in which members, in a conversational mood, discussed the past history of Ghana and the ongoing situation in the country. The older members of the union talked about the old days in the 50s and the 60s and the Nkrumah times. Some of them had seen Nkrumah personally and talked of their experience of the time. Their stories were avidly consumed by the younger members present. The discussions also involved world affairs.
The day was the 8th of March, International Women's day, and the union wished its female members the best. The day also happened to be the birthday of Zeinab Nabigah who hit 14 on the day. Members looked on with appreciation as she, full of smiles, cut a cake bought for her by Ladi Suberu.
Light food was provided and the evening ended early. |
