Nancy Gyewu celebrates her graduation with her friends

It was meant to be a small affair but a large number of classmates, friends, well-wishers and the Ghanaian community turned out to celebrate with Nancy Gyewu as she marked the end of her secondary school days. Beautifully dressed in white and wearing the traditional gymnasium hat, Nancy was joined on the high table by her fellow Ghanaian friends who had also graduated in the same year. But the night definitely belonged to Nancy. Toasts were proposed to her, the speeches were addressed to her and songs were sung to her by her friends. The gift box with her name on it looked full as later contributors found it difficult pushing in their envelopes. She was helped by her mother to cut the graduation cake amidst defeaning applause. And she took the floor to start the dancing surrounded by her friends. There was a lot to eat and drink and Nancy will never forget this day as long as she lives.
